Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy

We believe that planning a journey to Bhutan should be as enjoyable as the journey itself. Our payment and cancellation policies are designed to be transparent, fair, and flexible — so you can book with confidence.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 50% of the total tour payment is required to confirm your booking. This can be made by wire transfer, electronic transfer, or credit/debit card (MasterCard or Visa).

You have two options for the remaining balance: pay it 3 months before your arrival date, or pay the full 100% at the time of booking. For convenience — and to avoid multiple bank transfer fees — many of our guests choose to pay in full upfront.

The Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) must be paid in full before your visa can be processed. This is a government requirement and cannot be deferred.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is structured as follows:

The Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) will be refunded in full for any cancelled or shortened trip, as per government policy.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance before departing for Bhutan. Your policy should cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, emergency evacuation (especially important for trekking itineraries), baggage loss, and flight delays. Bhutan Pelyab Tours does not provide travel insurance, and we cannot be held responsible for costs arising from medical emergencies, flight cancellations, or other unforeseen events.

For trekking tours, an insurance certificate and emergency contact details for your next of kin are required before departure.
