Welcome! Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong and National Museum. Overnight in Paro.
Visit National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point, Tashichho Dzong. Overnight in Thimphu.
Dochula Pass (3,050m). Punakha Dzong. Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten. Overnight in Punakha.
Chimi Lhakhang. Prepare for trek. Overnight in Paro.
⛰ TREK DAY 1 — Start from National Museum. Ascend through blue pine and rhododendron forests to Jele Dzong (3,450m). Camp near the dzong.
⛰ TREK DAY 2 — Trek along ridgeline with views of Mt. Jumolhari. Alpine meadows and dwarf rhododendrons. Camp at Jangchulakha (3,770m).
⛰ TREK DAY 3 — Pass beautiful Lake Jimilangtso (3,870m). Trek through yak pastures. Camp near the lake.
⛰ TREK DAY 4 — Trek to Simkotra Tsho lake, the largest on the route. Stunning reflections of surrounding peaks. Camp at 3,750m.
⛰ TREK DAY 5 — Cross the highest point of the trek (4,210m). Descend to Phajoding monastery complex. Camp at 3,750m.
⛰ TREK DAY 6 — Descend to Thimphu through forests. Drive to Paro. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang. Special dinner. Hot stone bath. Last night in Paro.
